The Cobia Research Facility is part of the University of Miami, Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Sciences. The facility operates from a 16-building complex situated on Biscayne Bay. It includes state-of-the-art computer visualization and networking facilities, laboratories, and precision instruments including mass spectrometers, X-ray spectrographs, gas chromatographs and a scanning electron microscope.
